As women, we’re always holding: holding things together, holding space for others, holding control when everything around us feels uncertain.
We hold the problems, the plans, the emotions, the endless search for balance.
But how often do we hold ourselves?
This workshop is an invitation to return home to your body and hold it differently, not through control, management, or criticism, but through care.
To hold space for your emotions, to notice how they live and move in you.
To hold each part that makes you who you are.
To hold compassion for your tenderness, and love for your own softness.

What to expect?
Gentle movement & somatic exploration: walking, shifting, and noticing how emotions show up in posture and breath.
Self-touch practices: to bring warmth and awareness to different areas — shoulders, arms, or belly — inviting curiosity and softness.
Moments of stillness and reflection to listen to your body’s wisdom, feel more present, and be at ease.
A cozy, supportive space with lots of time to connect and share in community.
A closing ritual with tea and reflection, to carry a sense of calm and appreciation back into daily life.

Every practice is an invitation, never an obligation. You’re free to move or rest at your own pace.
Movement is gentle and guided, focused on noticing rather than performing.
There will be no physical contact between participants.
We’ll only work with areas like the head, shoulders, arms, belly, and legs — always within your boundaries.
This is not a yoga class.

*Parking is available in the building’s garage for free.

I’m Laura Ortiz
I’m a Psychologist and Somatic Coach from Costa Rica, who supports women in reconnecting with their bodies as a source of safety, softness, and direction.
I’m also on my own journey of creating more joy, ease, and gentleness in my life, and in my body.
I love nature, birdsong, big belly laughs, and quiet moments with a book and a warm cup of tea.
